About Me

I started my career as a Mental Health Counselor/Art Therapist in the Boston Public Schools and then as a school counselor at a school for students with language-based learning differences. I loved being able to work collaboratively with students and their families in order to help and make a difference in my students’ lives. In 2011, when my first son was born, I decided to not go back to work so that I could be a full-time mom; best decision I have ever made! The following year my second son was born and through my birthing doula’s suggestion we hired a postpartum doula. While I was lucky to have family close by to help, words cannot express the world of difference my doula made for us during our transition to becoming a family of four. Empathetic support can make all the difference in your ability to handle sleeplessness, hormonal changes, breastfeeding challenges, emotional tumult and most of all your ability to keep perspective on this exciting roller coaster ride.

Since having my own postpartum doula, I knew becoming a doula was going to be my next great adventure and from the very beginning, I have felt right at home in my new role. I want to give new moms the confidence and strength to be the mom she has dreamed about being for her baby! With my background in mental health counseling and art therapy, I am able to provide empowering and client-focused care in all that I do. I rely on my creativity and experience to offer parents different approaches that will lead to a smoother transition to life with this wonderful new addition to your family. When I leave at the end of my time with you, you will be fed, rested, showered, your changing stations will be stocked, laundry will be folded, kitchen will be clean and your baby will be content!
